Nettle Root—or Stinging Nettle Root, as it is sometimes known—has long been a trusted ally in Western herbalism. It is recognized in the German Pharmacopoeia (DAB) for its traditional use in managing symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)—a significant endorsement within Western herbalism.* Additionally, Nettle Root is highly valued for its support of the endocrine system.* Though both Nettle Root and Pine Pollen share some overlapping benefits, they function differently, making their combination both complementary and synergistic.
The first iteration of the Forest Prana Pine Pollen and Nettle Root Tincture was developed with two primary goals in mind. First, we aimed to harness the powerful properties of the two primary herbs, Pine Pollen and Nettle Root. Their combination seemed a natural choice, as both support the body in distinct ways—Pine Pollen through its phytoandrogens and Nettle Root through its support for prostate health and hormone regulation.*
However, there was a deeper motivation behind the development of this formula. We observed that many individuals were using Pine Pollen Tincture daily. In our view, Pine Pollen Tincture is most effective when used intermittently rather than on a daily basis. By incorporating Nettle Root alongside Pine Pollen, we crafted a tincture suitable for daily use. Nettle Root helps manage potential side effects associated with elevated testosterone levels, such as an increase in DHT and E2 beyond beneficial levels.*
Over time, we refined the elixir further. In 2017, we introduced a small yet impactful addition of Cape Jasmine Fruit (Zhi Zi) and Green Citrus Peel (Chen Pi). Using Forest Prana Elixir Pine Pollen and Nettle Root Tincture
Our recommended method for using tinctures is to mix them with several ounces of water and drink in one gulp. We advise against taking tinctures sublingually. To maximize absorption, take this product on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before consuming any other food or drink.
Dosage Guidelines
As a dietary supplement, adults take 3 mL (approximately 3 droppersful) 1 – 2 times daily, preferably on an empty stomach. Please consult a qualified healthcare practitioner before use, especially if you have any medical conditions or are taking other medications. Dosage can be split into two servings, one in the morning and one in the evening.
Measuring a Tincture
Tinctures are usually measured by dropperfuls, with one dropperful equivalent to 1 mL. Each dropperful contains approximately 30 drops. To measure the tincture, fully squeeze the air out of the rubber bulb, submerge the tip of the dropper into the tincture, and release the bulb. This will draw 1 mL of tincture into the dropper. Note that the dropper may not appear completely full.

Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use if safety seal is damaged or missing. Store at room temperature.
